Site Relocation & Update

For awhile now, I’ve been hosting my author site myself. However, all of my WP sites with my host are running slower and slower. In order to have hosting optimized for WP, I’d have to pay them $12.95/month. That would work out to about $155/year — right now I am paying $118 — for 3 years. $12.95 is just not doable for me.

When I originally purchased my hosting, I was full time. Now I am not, and I have to scrimp and save to keep what I have. Paying more is not an option. Since I don’t need much for my author site at this time, I have decided to make my WP.com site my official blog. I spent today redoing it and moving the relevant posts here (and then backdating them). I also created a new header for this site. I hope you like it. (It’s mostly a real photo. Feel free to comment and guess which tiny addition I made to it.)

As many of you know, I have had trouble with my creative writing, among other things, for a few years now. I am slowly working on breaking free of that trouble. My historical fiction book is still in the works. There is a long way to go with it, but just thinking about it makes me happy. I love what I have written so far; I love the covert art I’ve created (thanks to a wonderful photo by friend Sara Poston), for the book; and I love the potential this book has to be a series of books.
